A Roller Mill is essential a way to press a texture into the surface of annealed sheet metal. A variety of textures and patterns are possible.
Patina, a colorful oxidation (liver of sulfur) applied to the surface of the metal will add contrast to the raised and recessed surface pattern pressed into your metal.

Materials to try:
- Punched or cut textured paper designs (water color paper, 280 sand paper)
- Embossing or dried glue on a piece of card stock (business cards work great!)
- Lace or textured papers
- Lamp banding or other pierced metal sheet (perforated metal or wire mesh)
- Twine, string or wire
- Masking tape (cut out or torn edges, and overlapping shapes are a nice variation)
- dried leafs (will usually break apart)
