Pattern for the tiny heart: (Use the YouTube video and this list)
1. Make a magic ring 2. Chain 2 3. *Work into the magic ring for all the remaining stitches (you will pull it tight at the end) 4. 3 Treble crochet stiches into the magic ring 5. 3 Double crochet stitches into the magic ring 6. Chain 1 + 1 treble back into the magic ring 7. Chain 1 -------- you are now working the other side of the heart-------------- 8. 3 Double crochet stitches into the magic ring 9. 3 Treble crochet stitches into the magic ring 10. Chain 2 11. Slip-stitch into the magic ring 12. Chain 1 (this is your final stitch) 13. Cut the excess yarn 3 inches from the project and pull it through the final stitch to make a knot. (You can use this excess to hang the heart) 14. Close the magic loop by pulling the center yarn. Attach a needle and weave the excess yarn into the heart stitches and cut off the excess. *You’re done! Wasn’t that easy |
Small Granny Heart: (instructions are on the handout)
11. Chain 3 12. You will make 7 double crochet stitches into the center stitch of the side of your granny square. 13. Make a slip-stitch into the center stitch of the corner. (this will make the right lobe of the heart) 14. Make 8 double crochet stitches into the center stitch of the next side (this will make the left lobe of the heart. 15. Make a single crochet stitch into the center of the next corner (to complete the heart shape). 16. Make 5 single crochet stitches into each of the outer stitches along the bottom “v” of the heart. Turn and continue up the right side of the heart. 17. Complete the small granny heart by making a slip stitch into the height of chain for Round #2. Pull this stitch through and cut the yarn 4 inches. 18. Use a plastic needle to weave in the center yarn and the ending yarn. |
